Founded at the turn of the twentieth century, the University College has enjoyed unparalleled investment in the past ten years through EU and HEFCE funding and now boasts some of the finest facilities in the sector. Adjacent to our national Skillset Media Academy and state-of-the-art Design Centre, for example, is the latest addition to our estate – a £15m Performance Centre – due to open in the summer. All of this is on Cornwall’s flagship HE campus that we run jointly with the University of Exeter.

Since its successful merger with Dartington College of Arts in April 2008, the University College has gone from strength to strength and was recently ranked 9th in the Times Higher Education’s Student Experience Poll for Teaching and Learning. Art & Design at Falmouth was ranked 15th in The Independent’s Complete University Guide 2010 and we were placed above most modern universities in the Guardian’s 2009 University Guide.
